Milking plant? | Milkweed | Dr.Infected Soul

Hello there YouTube. I’m Dr.Infected Soul all welcoming who came here to know the happening. In this video, we gonna see about this
weird plant from which “Milk” can be extracted. So as always keep watching
till the end. You may know that many trees yield resin, rubber, latex and even glue not all could know Milk can be extracted in some weeds. I meant, milk-like fluid can be
extracted. At first glance, the fluid seems familiar to milk later I conceded. Some milkweed is poisonous but rattlesnakes are venomous. Both terms refer to toxic chemicals, so what’s the difference between poison and venom. The difference is entirely in how the species uses its defence mechanism. If it’s injected-via snakes bite or a bee’s sting – it’s venom. If it is secreted through the skin as in the case of poison dart frogs or few species of birds it’s a poison. Poison works the deadly magic through Touch, Ingestion or Inhalation while venoms are directly injected into a wound. Some can be
both poisonous and venomous. Instead of blathering, let me take you over there… This is Calotropis gigantea from the Kingdom: Plantae, Order: Gentianales, Family: Apocynaceae, Genus: Calotropis. It’s a very common type and it is poisonous. However, it’s been used as a medicine for its amazing mosquito repellent properties in countries such
as India, Thailand and Africa. See, it can be milked from anywhere leaves, stems, flowers. A considerable milkweed like this one contains a half a gallon of milk.
These are one of the plants whose flowers are long-lasting and that’s why the
people of Thailand are using for floral arrangements and necklace and kinds of
stuff like that… According to ancient Indian mythology,
you can check your luck by popping up its flowers. If you heard a pop you
gonna make it happen or else, you are dumb. Deers and rabbits have been
reported to eat milkweed and there are many other insects that feed on milkweed.
Humans can eat milkweed but its toxicity is depends on the species, age, how it is
prepared, and how much is eaten. This is suspected for many livestock deaths
regardless no human deaths were filed yet. I’m gonna fetch them and inject this on a
Labrat. Hola! Lunchtime… Hmmm…? maybe the last… Anything can happen. So I didn’t name him. To know the actual mechanism of the injected venom is tad complicated and overwhelming. So we’ll simplify here… Now, imagine how it will feel injecting a snake’s venom in gallons instead of a milligram. So its hardly surprising that this rat is still thriving for the chance of survival. What if in the case of humans?
Allowing that to apply on the skin, causes redness and vesication. When
orally, the juice produces an acrid, bitter and taste and burning pain in the
throat and stomach. Salivation, Stomatitis, Vomitting, Diarrhoea, Dialated-pupils, Tetanic convulsions, collapse and even Star-crossed DEATH… The fatal period is six to twelve hours. Treatment includes Stomach wash, demulcents and some symptomatic treatments. This video was made possible by you guys…Without your direct comfort, this channel would not exist. The purpose of my channel is to make the
best video I can… Thank you so much for making this possible. If you wanna ask questions feel free to ask them in the comment section below. Until Peace out!
